The sixth international conference “Modern Technologies in Rehabilitation Medicine” was held in Sochi on May 11—15, 2003. The conference was organized in the Dzerzhinsky Central Clinical Sanatorium of Federal Security Office.
Organizers: Association of Rehabilitation Medicine Professionals, Russian Research Center of Rehabilitation Medicine and Balneology, Army Medical Department of the Federal Security Office of Russia.
Presentation, organization, topics for discussion and welcoming atmosphere were a pleasant surprise for both participants and guests.
Over 260 representatives of various world famous organizations took part in the conference. The organizing committee included: the President of the International Conference — the President of Association of Rehabilitation Medicine Professionals — A. I. Trukhanov; Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor A. N. Razumov; Member of the Russian Academy of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor N. A. Agadzhanyan; Member of the Russian Academy of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor A. T. Bykov; Professor V. G. Zilov; Member of the Russian Academy of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Yu. A. Rakhmanin, Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, V. N. Pokrovsky; Doctor of Medicine, Professor B. A. Shenderov and other well-known scientists. The conference was also attended by many other Professors, Doctors of Medicine, heads and deputies of the largest Russian sanatoria, leading professionals practicing in various fields of rehabilitation medicine. Foreign delegations from Ukraine, Baltic countries, UK, Germany, Japan and representatives of the world’s famous manufacturers of medical equipment and means for health and beauty took part in the conference.
The conference included plenary sessions and section reports, which covered the following topics:
- new forms of medical organization in the health improving and rehabilitation centers and sanatoria;
- acute problems of balneology and physiotherapy;
- diagnostics and rehabilitation of the locomotor system disorders, sports medicine and kinesotherapy;
- pharmacological aspects of medical rehabilitation, functional diet in rehabilitation medicine, microelements in rehabilitation medicine (allopathy, homeopathy);
- medical psychological rehabilitation of people of risky occupation;
- modern methods of preventive measures, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation in aesthetics medicine;
- quantum medicine.

At the first morning plenary session the Member of Academy V. G. Zilov presented his report “Medication-free methods of rehabilitation of posttraumatic stress disorders in patients having participated in military actions”. In this report based on a number of clinical researches, he focused on scientifically approved methods of using SCENAR series models which allow to achieve real and effective results in rehabilitation. During the conference B. G. Zilov and A. A. Karasev agreed on closer cooperation of Moscow Sechenov Academy of Medicine with “LET Medical” company, including scientific issues and R&D of new digital SCENAR-series models.
Report “SCENAR-therapy as a universal method of rehabilitation medicine” by S. V. Aleshin, presented in quantum medicine section headed by the Member of Academy V. N. Pokrovsky, excited great interest among the audience.
In the course of the conference, the Member of Academy Yu.A. Rakhmanin, highly evaluated SCENAR series models and work being done by the Director of “Priboy” enterprise, A. I. Dygai, for promotion and production of the new models, which have no analogues in the world.
